Jetsetter enlists travel industry professionals to pick winners for 23 categories.
The votes are in for the Jetsetter "Best of the Best" Awards, its list of the top hotels in the world. The free-to-join, members-only community of curated travel deals eschewed a ranking system, instead breaking down winners into 23 different categories including "Best for Nightlife" and "Best for Romance."
Jetsetter enlisted the help of its in-house team, more than 200 travel journalists and other industry professionals to choose the winners.
Highlights included "Best Newcomer," which went to the Mondrian London at Sea Containers in London, a "glamorous reimagining of what was once a South Bank corporate park." And The Norman in Tel Aviv, Israel, was named "Best Boutique" for its "smart, stylish" ambience.
Other winners included The Miami Beach Edition in Miami, Florida, named "Best Design"; Terme di Saturnia, Spa & Golf Resort in Tuscany, Italy, named "Best for Wellness"; and the Shangri-La Hotel in Paris, France, named "Best Big City Sleep" for its "preternatural calm" and "dead-on views of the Eiffel Tower."
Jetsetter managing editor Colleen Clark released a statement about the award-winning hotels, saying, “We spend every day at Jetsetter curating the best hotels around the world. The winning hotels on this list go above and beyond to deliver the best experiences in their categories. They're the kind of places that belong on the bucket lists of every discerning traveler."
