Steveston Village, British Columbia: 'Power Rangers'
A quaint historic village with roots in the early 19th century, Steveston Village in British Columbia has starred in several television and movie productions. Fans of series like "Once Upon A Time," "The X-Files," "Stargate SG-1" and "Highlander" will instantly recognize the town's iconic storefronts and businesses.
Most recently, Steveston was transformed into the fictional city of Angel Grove, California, for the film reboot of the "Power Rangers" franchise. Directed by American Dean Israelite and produced by Haim Saban, an Israeli filmmaker and philanthropist, the film aims to reintroduce the popular 1990s television series to a new group of fans.
Spies on the ground in Steveston noted appearances by actress Elizabeth Banks as the villainous Rita Repulsa, as well as several of the new Power Rangers.
