Visit the obscure towns where major movies are filmed
From Malan Head, Ireland to Woodstock, Ill., these locations are the settings for 'Star Wars: Episode VIII' and other blockbusters.
Snoqualmie, Wash.: 'Twin Peaks'
The small city of Snoqualmie, Wash., located about 25 miles east of Seattle, also serves as the setting for American director David Lynch's "Twin Peaks" drama.
After the original two seasons and the accompanying movie, "Fire Walk with Me," aired in the early '90s, Snoqualmie became a hot destination for fans. Locations made famous by the series include the Great Northern Hotel, Twede’s Cafe and the 270-foot-tall Snoqualmie Falls.
Last year, Lynch and "Peaks" co-creator Mark Frost announced that Snoqualmie would once again be reprising its role as the fictional town for the series' highly anticipated third season. The 217-strong cast features a number of familiar faces and newcomers – including American Kyle MacLachlan, Israeli star Alon Aboutboul and two former Bond girls, Italian actress Monica Bellucci and French actress Bérénice Marlohe.
