Mirrorcube, Sweden

Appearing almost alien-like in its design, the Mirrorcube treehouse utilizes eight 12-foot-tall panes of reflective glass to blend in with its natural surroundings.

The interior, with a birch surface, is minimalist, but spacious – with a double bed, bathroom, lounge and even a rooftop terrace. To get there, one meanders up a beautiful 36-foot rope bridge.

In an effort to prevent collisions from wildlife, the designers incorporated an infrared film to the reflective panels that only birds and other species can see. The Mirrorcube is available for nightly rentals as part of the Treehotel resort in Sweden.
