Choose a train ride when visiting these countries
Train travel is on the upswing around the world.
Japan thrives on railways. In fact, a recent ranking of the 51 busiest stations in the world included only six from outside of Japan. Crazy!
This being said, train is by far the most popular way to travel in Japan, and has been for more than a century. If there's somewhere you want to go in the country, it's likely that a train will get you there quicker, faster and for much less money than by any other form of travel.
If you're just looking to check out the scenery, the super high-speed Nozomi line is the way to go. It’s the world’s busiest high-speed rail line, carrying more than 150 million passengers a year, and its many beautiful attractions include Mount Fuji.
