Tel Aviv stands out for its awesome boardwalk, where cyclists can travel along the waterfront and skip out on traffic altogether. If you choose to bike along the road, you can cross the city within 20 minutes – not a bad commute at all.
With more than 150 bike sharing stations housing more than a thousand bikes and more than 3,000 bicycle parking stations, the city of Tel Aviv wipes away the two most basic concerns of bike commuting: where to find an affordable bike and where to park it. The "Tel-O-Fun" program's signature bright green bikes can be seen around the city, and soon folks will be able to bike from the suburbs, as well.
