The Negev Desert
The Negev Desert is well known to members of the adventure sports community. From dune buggy riding to sand boarding to racing four-wheelers around the dune-lands, there is a lot to do in the sandy landscapes of Southern Israel. The Negev is also a great place for mountain biking. Spots like the Ramon Crater and the Zin Valley offer both flat, leisurely paced rides and technically challenging trails and speed runs.
Serious tour riders can tackle the desert during a multi-day expedition. Mountain-bike trips can range from a seven-day trek across the desert to a weekend pedal around the Negev's little-known wine-growing region.
