The Louvre

One of the most iconic museums in the world, the Louvre is a must-stop for tourists in Paris. Featuring a massive 652,300 square feet of space, the museum is home to 380,000 objects and displays 35,000 works of art including its most popular attraction, the Mona Lisa. Opened in 1793, the French landmark may be best known to young American audiences for its role in the Tom Hanks thriller "The Da Vinci Code."
