Sin City or Snow City? In 2008, Las Vegas witnessed a freak snow event that left several inches on the ground. While snow in this southwestern tourist mecca is uncommon, what's even more unusual is the accumulation: it doesn't usually get cold enough in the valley for the stuff to stick. But it has happened. This past December, in fact, Las Vegas enjoyed a White Christmas.
