The deepest lake in the world
At an impressive depth of 5,387 feet, Lake Baikal is the deepest in the world. Located in the Russian region of Siberia, it's also the oldest in the world — at an estimated 25 million years old. And Lake Baikal takes home another blue ribbon as the largest freshwater lake in the world (by volume).
