Argentina: Field Hockey

Argentina is a soccer culture that moonlights with basketball. But it's the men's and women's field hockey teams that bring home all the medals. Ranked first and third in the world, respectively, the men won the Olympic gold medal in Rio in 2016 while the women have medaled in four of the last five Olympics.

Only a few European squads can match Argentina's success over the last decade. It almost goes without saying that the country has led the competition in the Americas during that time period.
