U.S.: Volleyball

While the U.S. presumably invented this sport, do you ever really think of the United States as a volleyball powerhouse? Well, it is.

The women's national team is currently No. 2 in the world and the men's squad number three. Both have been competing in international competition since the 1950s and both have taken home medals too numerous to count in the intervening years.
