Israeli Or Sasson recently won his second consecutive silver medal in the +100kg category at the European Judo Championships, narrowly losing the final to eight-time Olympic champion Teddy Riner. "This is a very important achievement for me and crucial for the preparation of Rio," said Sasson of his achievement. He will make his Olympic debut in Rio among the world’s top eight competitors.
Originating in Japan, Judo has become one of the most popular competitive martial arts. Judo is tested in several weight divisions for men and women. Fights last five minutes for men and four for women, and are scored by a series of throws and takedowns.
