Jean Quiquampoix, France: Shooting

Jean Quiquampoix is one of France’s best hopes for an Olympic medal in Rio. The 20-year-old rapid-fire shooter from Paris won the 2014 World Junior Championships, and in 2015 set a world junior final record with 31 hits. He’s currently ranked fifth in the world at the senior level, with two world cup wins last year, including the world cup final.

Rapid-fire shooting will be one of several shooting events in Rio. Competitors must complete a series of five shots at one target within a limited time; firing must be done with one unsupported hand.
