These gourmet cooks know how to turn up the heat on more than your tastebuds.
Israeli-British chef Yotam Ottolenghi has long made the world hungry for his healthy Mediterranean-inspired food and mouth-watering, imaginative desserts. The 2016 James Beard award-winner, well-known for using exciting, new flavors like the spicy paste harissa in traditional dishes, is never afraid to break the mold when it comes to taste.
"Black garlic, miso, tamarind: these are just three of my favorite ways to instantly inject huge amounts of flavor into food," he shared. "I use them a lot."
Ottolenghi, who today co-owns five delis and restaurants in London, boils down his success in the food world to one, simple philosophy: “I want drama in the mouth,” he told the NY Times.
