Jessica Largey was just 29 when she was named the 2015 James Beard Rising Star Chef of the Year while working as the chef de cuisine at David Kinch's famed Silicon Valley farm-to-table restaurant Manresa. She’s worked at a series of high-end restaurants around the world throughout her young career, and now opened her own restaurant, Simone, in Los Angeles’ Arts District.
“I’m departing from my fine-dining background in some ways and going a much more casual route. For me, it’s important that I build a restaurant that I would go eat at all the time,” she told the LA Times.
