The smooth and tasty butternut squash

Sweet and nutty in taste, butternut squash is a versatile vegetable that can be enjoyed roasted, mashed, grilled or pureed for soups.

Native to Mexico, the butternut contains a healthy dose of dietary fiber, potassium, and powerful nutrients known as carotenoids, shown to protect against heart disease. The butternut's high antioxidant content has also shown it to be effective against rheumatoid arthritis and asthma.
