This is one of the more questionable additions to this list, but nobody ever accused Icelanders of orthodoxy (fermented shark is a national dish). The mixture of chocolate and licorice is apparently a popular one in the country, and this treat covers all the bases and then some. A layer of caramel is topped with a salty licorice and then coated in chocolate. Come to think of it, that sounds pretty wonderful.
