10. Weizmann Institute of Science

The Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel is a public research university offering graduate and postgraduate instruction in the sciences and was the only non-American school to crack the list's top 10. Currently, about 2,500 students, postdoctoral fellows, staff and faculty study mathematics, computer science, physics, chemistry, biochemistry and biology. In 2011, The Scientist magazine rated the Weizmann Institute as the best place in the world to work in academia among non-U.S. institutions, and three Nobel laureates and three Turing Award laureates have been associated with the university.
