Little-known cities that are teeming with tech
These cities prove there's more to the tech world than Silicon Valley.
Eindhoven has made a name for itself despite the long shadow cast by nearby Amsterdam, the Netherlands' unrivaled tech center. Take this for example: In 2013, Forbes said of Eindhoven that it was “hands-down the most inventive city in the world.”
Home to the High Tech Campus, a former Philips research and development lab, which currently houses some 60 startups, it's also where you can find Eindhoven University of Technology, pictured, one of the top technical schools in all of Europe, and the source of much of the country's tech talent.
