9 towers that dominate city skylines
From Britain's Shard tower to Sweden's Turning Torso, these majestic structures make skylines stand out.
Gran Torre Santiago: Santiago, Chile
At nearly 1,000 feet tall, the Costanera Center Torre 2, better known as the Gran Torre Santiago, is Latin America's tallest building. It's also the second tallest in the southern hemisphere, right behind another on this list, Australia's Q1 Tower.
The Gran Torre stands 330 feet taller than any other building in Santiago, so naturally it dominates the city's skyline. It's also got observation decks on the 61st and 62nd floors that offer stunning 360-degree views.
