Turning Torso: Malmo, Sweden

The neo-futurist Turning Torso is a residential building with 147 rooms and a lot of lucky residents who get to call it home. At 623 feet high, it is not only the tallest building in Sweden but in all of Scandinavia.

Designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava and completed in 2005, Turning Torso won the Emporis Skyscraper Award, given to the world's best new skyscraper, that same year.
