The Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum: Yokohama, Japan

The Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum is where art and eating collide. You eat the art, and the art is, you guessed it, ramen.

The central dining area of the museum is a beautiful recreation of eight ramen shops found in Japan, and it's one that transports you around the country much quicker than any train might.

Since being founded in 1994 the museum has welcomed more than 20 million visitors and presided over the emergence of ramen as a global culinary sensation.
