When a movie is produced by both Will Ferrell and Brad Pitt, you’re not really sure what to expect. And that’s exactly what you’ll see with “Vice” – part comedy and part drama. The New York Times called it an "idiosyncratic indie.” British-American actor Christian Bale gained 40 pounds for the iconic role of Vice President Dick Cheney. The “Batman” star is nearly unrecognizable, and those acting chops have earned him a Best Actor nomination, in addition to the film’s five other Oscar nods.
“What Christian Bale really does is he psychologically breaks someone apart and puts them back together again,” director Adam McKay told Deadline. “I’ve never seen someone work so hard at it, and it is hard on him, but really amazing to watch."
