Produced by Israeli Hollywood legend Arnon Milchan, "Bohemian Rhapsody" chronicles the life of the late rocker Freddie Mercury and his rise to fame with the band Queen.
The film has earned much positive acclaim, especially for actor Rami Malek's transformation into Mercury. Both the movie itself and Malek have earned Oscar nominations. "I said [to myself], 'Listen, if you're going to play a man who [will] rock this thing out like nobody's business ... you better own this,'" Malek told NPR.
From tight leather pants to copious sequins, Malek's Mercury leaps off the screen, embodying the same energy and charisma fans of the rock group fell in love with decades ago. As for the singing, Malek admits it's a mix of his own voice and Mercury's. "What I quickly realized was no one can sing like Freddie Mercury, and nor can I," he added.
