Home to the world-renowned Jerusalem Film Festival, the Cinematheque moved into its current picturesque location in 1981. Boasting top-notch acoustics, the theater screens underground and non-Hollywood movies, as well as classics, old favorites and themed presentations. Famed director Quentin Tarantino recently spoke at the theater.
In addition to screenings, the Cinematheque acts as a custodian of the country's film history, housing the Israel Film Archive, a collection of films from the 1920s to today.
