From Harvard to Hollywood, the inspiring career of Natalie Portman
A photo tour of the passion, education and drive behind one of film's biggest international stars.
Her hair (or lack thereof) is famous all its own
From the classic "Star Wars" hair buns to her completely shaved locks in "V for Vendetta," Natalie Portman's hair styles have nearly been as closely watched as her film career. In 2005, an up-and-coming indie rock band even chose its name, Natalie Portman's Shaved Head, after the actress.
As for that famous head-shaving scene, Portman says it was both a blessing and a curse.
"Feeling the rain on my bald head was incredible," she told InStyle. "But the worst was growing it out. Being a girl with short Little Orphan Annie curls was not fun for me."
