The secrets behind 7 famous superhero suits
From Wonder Woman to Daredevil, superheroes would not be nearly as cool without their iconic supersuits.
When "Spider-Man: Homecoming" debuts later this year, audiences will be treated to the most high-tech Spidey suit ever to spin a web on the silver screen.
Played by British star Tom Holland, Spider-Man's new upgrades include integrated wings, armbands that display holographic images, expressive eyes, a drone in the shape of the Spider-Man emblem and even an embedded artificial intelligence system.
While the addition of Tony Stark (aka Iron Man) in the film is the reason behind all of these additions, Peter Parker's sticky web shooters remain a personal invention all his own.
"We felt like if a kid is running around in a skin-tight suit with all of these cool features, it’s probably going to be pretty high tech," co-producer Eric Carroll told Screenrant. "That means that, again, his origin is still that he figured out how to build these web shooters, he invents his web fluid. That’s the scene of him making it in school. He does that himself."
