'Solo: A Star Wars Story'

The second standalone film in the "Star Wars" franchise after the highly-successful "Rogue One," "Solo: A Star Wars Story" will focus on the younger years of the beloved rogue smuggler Han Solo.

Directed by American filmmaker Ron Howard, the film stars "Hail, Caesar!" actor Alden Ehrenreich as Solo and "Game of Thrones" star Emilia Clarke as the smuggler's mentor.

"I genuinely can’t tell you anything other than Alden is magnificent, and it's a delight to do something on that level with really cool actors and nice people," Clarke said earlier this year. "But it's even scarier talking about that than Game of Thrones."

With "Solo" slated to hit theaters on May 25, 2018 – a little more than five months after the premiere of "The Last Jedi," it's truly a great time to be a fan of a galaxy far, far, away.
