'Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom'

American actors Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard return in "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom," the fifth film in the "Jurassic Park" franchise and a direct sequel to the 2015 hit "Jurassic World."

Directed by Spanish filmmaker J. A. Bayona, and based on a script by former "Star Wars: Episode IX" scribe Colin Trevorrow, "Fallen Kingdom" is rumored to revolve around efforts to prevent dinosaurs from being turned into weapons.

"The dinosaurs will be a parable of the treatment animals receive today," Trevorrow said in an interview. "The abuse, medical experimentation, pets, having wild animals in zoos like prisons, the use the military has made of them, animals as weapons.”

"Fallen Kingdom" is expected to stomp its way into theaters on June 22, 2018.
