Natasha Romanova from the Marvel cinematic universe
Natasha Romanova, aka Black Widow, is a superhero secret agent based on the Marvel Comics character and featured heavily in "The Avengers" film franchise.
According to American actress Scarlett Johansson, taking on the role of Black Widow has proven to be one of the more rewarding challenges of her career.
"It’s been an interesting journey, to take a character and grow it over these years, and peel the layers back and be able to, as you do in life, grow with this person," she said in a recent interview. "It’s a character that’s really enigmatic and has an amazing origins story, so there’s a lot for me to play off of."
It has also proven to be one of her more physically demanding roles, with endless training on stunts, fights and hand-to-hand combat.
"That woman hanging 60 feet in the air, taking punches and throwing punches? Well, that’s me," she quipped to the Daily Mail.
