From playing Superman's mother in "Man of Steel" to a physics researcher in the adventure thriller "Angels and Demons," Israeli actress Ayelet Zurer has appeared in more than two dozen film and television projects over the course of her 25-year career.
The Tel Aviv-born actress, who most recently took on the role of Vanessa Marianna in Netflix's "Daredevil," says she sometimes uses her artistic talents to flesh out a role before even arriving on set.
"I see an image of the scene," she told From The Grapevine. "I see it very vividly. Sometimes I even illustrate my characters how I see them, how they carry themselves in the world."
In addition to big blockbusters like "Ben-Hur," Zurer has also lent her acting skills to smaller productions such as the TV dramas "Awake," a mini-series adaptation of the video game franchise "Halo," and an Israeli remake of a CBS series.
