Keanu Reeves and Paul Mounet

According to one theory, American actor Keanu Reeves and the 19th century Frenchman Paul Mounet are one and the same. Not only are the physical similarities striking, but Mounet was also a prominent actor; garnering acclaim for a variety of productions and becoming something of a celebrity in Paris.

In addition to appearing in a number of pioneering black-and-white films, including French director André Calmettes' 1909 silent version of "Macbeth," Mounet was also a professor at the Paris Conservatory.

Mounet passed away suddenly at the age of 74 in 1922. As you may have already suspected, his body was never found.
