What did Luke Skywalker say to Rey when she handed him his lightsaber? Did Finn survive? Are BB-8 and R2D2 best buds? All of these pressing questions and more will be revealed when "Star Wars: Episode VIII" finally arrives to transport us back to a galaxy far, far away.
Helmed by American director Rian Johnson and Ram Bergman, a prolific Israeli producer, "Episode VIII" is reportedly darker in tone and heavier in character development than its more popcorn-centric predecessor.
"He trusts [that] his audience is ready for nuance and ambiguity," Adam Driver, who plays the villainous Kylo Ren, said of Johnson's script. "He’s not dumbing anything down for someone and that’s really fun to play."
Charge up your lightsaber, re-watch "The Force Awakens," and get ready for "Episode VIII" to hit light speed at the box office on Dec. 15, 2017.
