Best video games for those who love action adventure
Looking to escape into the boots of a fortune hunter or under the cape of a 19th century avenger? We have some glorious suggestions.
'The Last of Us'
2013's "The Last of Us" surprised critics and gamers upon its release not just for its gorgeously realized post-apocalyptic world and zombie-centric combat, but also for its layered story and tremendous heart.
Gamers can thank the duo of American Bruce Straley and Neil Druckmann, an Israeli-American creative director, for adding so much emotion to "The Last of Us." Druckmann, who grew up in Israel playing classic Sierra adventure games, told the Telegraph that their work boils down to“what we want to achieve with the story, how to get to that emotional place, and what we ultimately want to say.”
It's not often you find yourself both tearing up and screaming out loud in a video game, a rare combo that explains why "The Last of Us" is often included in lists of the greatest video games ever made.
If you're a fan of "The Walking Dead" or the post-apocalyptic genre, this horror-adventure is not to be missed.
