The coolest Einstein public art on the planet
Albert Einstein continues to be celebrated with public artworks around the world.
One of Panama City's most iconic landmarks is this giant head of Albert Einstein (it even has its own Facebook page). Located on a traffic island at the center of one of the city's main arteries, it's actually quite big, measuring in at roughly 10 feet by 10 feet.
Much credit goes to locals who have defended the placement of the sculpture, reportedly quick with this reply when asked why there's a big head of Einstein in the middle of the city: “Einstein was a smart guy, so a statue of his head makes a lot more sense than one of his elbow.”
