Miami International Book Fair: Miami, Florida

More than 300 authors from countries such as Israel, England, Ireland and France descend on Miami in the fall for this warm-weather celebration of books.

Drawing 200,000 people annually, it stands as the largest literary festival in the country. It also features cooking events with some of the biggest stars in the business; a Children's Alley, with puppet shows and other fun activities for kids; and a street festival.
