The daughter of a Danish architect, the New York-born Scarlett Johansson has starred in dozens of movies including "Lost in Translation" and "Vicky Cristina Barcelona." She brought Marvel's Black Widow superhero to life, appearing in "Iron Man 2," "The Avengers," "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," and "Avengers: Age of Ultron." The character – a world-class athlete with superhero immunity – is not one to be trifled with.

Off the screen, Johansson is a new mom and involved with various charities. She's served as the global ambassador to Oxfam, a nonprofit that fights poverty and injustice around the world.
