'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2'
Is there any mix tape in the galaxy more widely anticipated than one left behind by superhero Peter Quill's mother? Fans of Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy" will finally get a listen when the next adventure in this hilarious saga launches on May 5, 2017.
With American James Gunn once again pulling double duty as both director and writer, "Vol. 2" will reportedly involve the team of unlikely heroes searching for Quill's father. Possibly knowing this one wouldn't stay a secret, the production let slip that none other than American actor Kurt Russell will take on this coveted role; with French actress Pom Klementieff, Australian Elizabeth Debicki and American Chris Sullivan rounding out the new faces.
As for that famous mix tape, Gunn says all of the songs have been chosen and are baked into the film. The director has confirmed only one artist: David Bowie. The beloved musician, who passed away in January, was slated to cameo in "Vol 2." Gunn, who idolized Bowie, plans to use one of his songs in the movie as a "fair and appropriate" way to honor him.
