'Wonder Woman'

While our first look at Wonder Woman on the big screen will come later this month in "Batman v Superman," it's her 2017 origin film that has fans truly excited.

Directed by American Patty Jenkins, the film will once again star Israeli actress Gal Gadot as the 5,000-year-old warrior princess. The full plot is shrouded in secrecy, but reports suggest that at least some of the movie is set between the present day and World War I.

While American Chris Pine is confirmed to play Wonder Woman's love interest, rumors over who the big baddie will be are still swirling. One report last year hinted that British actor Sean Bean may be in the running to play Ares, the Greek god of war; with French actress Eva Green taking on the role of Crice, the Greek goddess of magic.

"Wonder Woman" is slated for release on June 23, 2017.
