10 upcoming superhero movies to stoke your inner geek
From 'Wonder Woman' to 'X-Men,' the cinema is about to be visited by nearly every superhero imaginable.
'Justice League Part I'
Looking to capitalize on the success of Marvel's "Avengers" films, DC Comics will bring together its own biggest superheroes in American director Zack Snyder's "Justice League."
Slated to appear include Superman (British actor Henry Cavill), Batman (American Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Israeli star Gal Gadot), the Flash (American Ezra Miller) Aquaman (American Jason Momoa), and a few other surprises.
As for the villain, the most recent "Batman v Superman" trailer may have given fans one giant hint of who to expect. Scorched into the sand of one dystopian image is the symbol of one of the greatest comic book baddies of all time: the tyrannical alien supervillain Darkseid.
Of course, as "Justice League" is divided into parts, there's a good chance we won't actually see Darkseid until the second film arrives in 2019. Either way, prepare for one KAPOW! of a showdown between good and evil when "Part 1" arrives in theaters on Nov. 17, 2017.
