'Suicide Squad'

"Suicide Squad," by American director David Ayer, is the direct result of asking the question: What would happen if supervillains instead of superheroes were tasked with saving the world?

We'll find out Aug. 5, 2016, when villains such as Boomerang (Australian actor Jai Courtney), the Joker (American actor Jared Leto) and Killer Croc (British actor Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) come together to perform government black-ops missions in return for clemency.

Buzz is extremely high for this one, in particular for Leto's portrayal of the Joker. Speaking last year, he described the role as offering a "beautiful disaster of a character" and a "big challenge." And don't worry – there will also be a bit of a tango with Batman. American actor Ben Affleck is confirmed to make a cameo, reportedly capturing the Joker in the film's opening scene.
