In the original Spider-Man comics, high schooler Peter Parker uses his genius-level intellect to construct mechanical web slingers. In the 2002 film, executive produced by Israeli Avi Arad, Peter Parker develops biological webbing in his wrists after a spider bite.

Capable of moving at light speed, The Flash also has a protective aura around his body that helps keep his iconic costume from tearing away. Fans of this speedy superhero will next see him on the silver screen in 2017's "Justice League."

Gamora was raised and trained by Thanos to become a master assassin. Thanks to special treatments, she has enhancements in speed, strength, agility and durability.

In addition to communicating with sea life, Aquaman can also swim at very high speeds. He's so fast, that at one point in the comics, he actually swims up Niagara Falls.
