Power Rangers soar over Bristol ... as hot air balloons
Cartoon heroes help spice up Bristol International Balloon Fiesta.
The Power Rangers are looking a little different these days. Their heads have swollen to gargantuan proportions, and while they were always pretty good at jumping and sometimes even rising above the ground, it looks like they've taken playing with the ozone layer to a new level.
Over four sunny days, 130 balloons lifted into the air at the 37th annual Bristol International Balloon Fiesta in Great Britain last week, including some Power Ranger ones. The new movie version of the Power Rangers, which will be produced by the Israeli co-creators of the series, Haim Saban and Shuki Levy, is in the works and will be released in 2017. Until then, we'll enjoy sightings like this to get our fix of spandex-clad teenagers with attitude.
Visitors crowded to the Ashton Court Estate to watch the balloon teams prep, inflate, launch and land the balloons.
