Welcome to the one-of-a-kind Beresheet Hotel.

Located in Israel, just north of the seaside town of Eilat, the resort spans a dozen acres. Its unique feel attracts visitors from around the world including France, the U.S., the U.K. and Canada. The Wall Street Journal and Conde Nast Traveler, among other publications, have published glowing articles about it.

"The relaxation was incredible," Micah Fierstein told From The Grapevine. He and his wife Jacqueline, who were visiting from Switzerland, spent two nights there last week. "I just felt more relaxed than I ever felt in years," he said.

Visitors of the hotel can take part in yoga sessions, photography classes and meditation workshops, or relax by the many pools on the property.

Many hop in a Jeep and head over to the nearby 200 million-year-old Ramon Crater, the 25-mile-wide star attraction of the Ramon Nature Reserve. It attracts geology enthusiasts, hikers and bikers from across the globe.

Adding to the majestic beauty of the surroundings, acrobatic ibexes hop around the resort, adding a playful atmosphere. "They're very tame and very used to people," Jacqueline told us. "They come bounding out between the buildings, and they're very, very sweet. I had never seen them before."

In every room of the hotel, there are handmade ceramic soap dishes, plates and mugs, which are all made by local artists. Guests can visit the nearby artists' colony and even take ceramic classes. The romantic getaway – where people can go hot air ballooning – has also become a hotspot for marriage proposals.

And don't even get started on the dining options. Local farms and wineries provide the hotel's restaurants with some of the best menu items. "The food was incredible. There were like 25 different salads," Micah told us. "I usually eat vegetarian, and I rarely have meat. But I had meat there and it was incredible. It was the best food I ever had in my life."

The resort is part of the Isrotel Hotel Chain. The company was founded by David Lewis, a British hotelier who fell in love with the southern part of Israel, and it is where nine of the firm's 17 hotels are based.
