Amar'e Stoudemire wasted no time endearing himself to the residents of his new home country of Israel, hosting a basketball clinic this week in Jerusalem for local children in the city's Malha Arena.
The 6-time NBA All-Star, who announced his retirement from the league at the beginning of this month, recently signed a 2-year deal with Jerusalem Hapoel of the Israeli Basketball Premier League, a team he has an ownership stake in.
The league itself should pose a challenge to Stoudemire. It has attracted top talent over the years and includes Tel Aviv Maccabi, winners of the European championship in 2014.
