Mud Day made it to Israel on Friday, giving long-distance runners there a whole new reason to get "down and dirty" in pursuit of a solid workout.

The approximately eight-mile race is in keeping with the trend of endurance events like Tough Mudder, with the added element of, you guessed it, mud.

It's become a hit in Europe and judging by the looks on the faces of these participants in Israel's Mediterranean coastal city of Tel Aviv, it'll be a hit there as well.
