This bodybuilder is your new Mr. Universe
Kobi Ifrach poses and flexes his way to National Amateur Body-Builders’ Association under-22 title.
The discipline and dedication have paid off for Kobi Ifrach.
The 20-year-old Israeli was named Mr. Universe in the under-22 division of the National Amateur Body-Builders’ Association (NABBA) this past Sunday in Birmingham, England.
“I have been training 24 hours a day for many years,” Ifrach told Israeli media. “Training means following a tight schedule – eating every hour and a half and not drinking water at all on some days.”
Though the under-22 division was inaugurated in 1988, the bodybuilding event has been organized annually for 67 years and counts among its previous winners movie star, Arnold Schwarzenegger, who won the contest four consecutive years from 1967 to 1970.
Ifrach joins Dani Kaganovich among Israelis who have taken world bodybuilding titles in recent years. Kaganovich was named Mr. Universe in 2015.
