Jurassic exhibit lights up Jerusalem
Visitors enjoy a new interactive program of animatronic dinosaurs, art workshops and an archaeological dig.
It's a pretty great time for mammals. We run the world, and reptiles can do little more than snap about it. In this new Jerusalem Botanical Gardens exhibit, children get a taste of what it could have been like to inhabit a world where something else was in charge, something with a tiny brain and a whole lot of claws.
We're talking about a pretty major exhibit in Israel, one that was advertised on street signs and newspaper ads all summer. Dinosaurs moved and made noises, and they even lit up at night, which surely would have made the real Jurassic period a whole lot more exciting. Kids could take part in dinosaur art workshops, dig for dinosaur bones in a big sand pit and watch a 3D movie.
