Israel's amazing journey at the World Baseball Classic continued this weekend with a 4-1 victory over Cuba, giving the Mediterranean team a 4-0 record in the tournament so far. Not bad for a long-shot team that, going into the tournament, was called by ESPN as "essentially the Mighty Ducks, Hickory High and the Jamaican bobsled team all rolled into one.”

Instead, they've exceeded expectations in their maiden voyage at the championship. The Israeli team beat Korea in extra innings, then shocked Chinese Taipei and defeated the Netherlands. And now they can add Cuba to that list.

The Israeli team's next opponents will be a rematch with the Netherlands on Monday and a game against host country Japan on Wednesday.

The final round of the tournament will move to American soil where the last games will take place at Dodgers Stadium in Los Angeles. The championship game will be on March 22.
